Surface Burner Stabilizer Clip broken off
Carefully ground the head of the rivet off and removed the remaining clip base. Removed all surface burners and their respective pans, and lifted range top up until the supports were latched. A stabilizer clip had broken on the range, and the burner element was not being held in place.
I ground off the head of the rivet holding the old broken clip, and used a punch to drive the rivet out of the stove top. Then I just bolted in the new part. The new part is slightly wider than the old clip, so I had to use the Dremel grinder to slightly widen the opening in the burner pan so that the pan would fit properly. It was obviou
