Product Description

If your oven is not coming up to temperature, has inconsistent or fluctuating temperatures, or just will not heat at all, there may be an issue with the bake element. This part is found at the bottom of the oven, and is the source of heat for your cooking and baking. This is a genuine OEM replacement bake element, but please note that new screws are not included with the part. You can either reuse the ones from the old element, or order new ones separately. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your oven before beginning this repair.

Bake Element was burnt out.
Turn the breaker off, unscrew the old bake element. Carefully pull the element out, exposing the wires through the insulation. Remove the wires from the element and plug into the new element. Screw the new element into place and turn the breaker back on.

Bake element burnt in two
First unplug of flip breaker to range. This is very important since voltage is always supplied to one side of element. I found that out the hard way. Then locate the two Phillips head screws that hold the element to the inside back of range. Then pull element carefully out. Then unplug terminals attached to element connections. Plug up th e new one reinstall element and reinstall Phillips head screws. Restore power to range and turn on so element can burn off any residue and you can verify repair. That's it very simple.

Ordered new bake element from this site New element was very easy to install. Removed two screws, pulled old element out carefully, Unplugged Hot Leads one at a time and installed on new element, being very careful to now loose wires back into back of range. Replaced screws attaching element to range. Job done. Also should be noted that t his site sent video with instructions on how to remove and install bake element. This video was very helpful.

Can't believe I did this by myself. Followed the trouble shooting guide on this site, ordered the part, and after looking at the directions on the website had it installed in under 30 minutes! Learning to do lots of things since my husband passed away and this site was awesome.

The bake element sparked and burned through.
The part was perfect but then we hit trouble. Took out the screws, no problem Gently pulled the element out to get to the wires, problem, wires detached. We had to move the stove out to get to the wires in the back. The wires were so short that no way would they have come out the front. The wires hooked up easily, but moving the stove required jockeying it around the downdraft fan. This took brute strength. As usual things did not go suite as easily as they were supposed to.

Original Bake Element had a hole
The Bake Element was fairly easy to replace. With a Philips Screwdriver I removed the original bake element. The most difficult part was removal. The screw was set in there good. But after removal of the screw it was easy to remove the bake element and install the new one. I removed the 2 screws, unhooked the bake element, replaced the ba ck element, replaced the screws and all set.
