I read every instruction there was, and watched every video and not once did I hear about or read about the possibility of the springs being under tension. This might be common knowledge for those who do similar repairs a lot. It is not though for in experienced people as myself and is only a warning for those in the same position I was in. Wear some kind of safety gloves , use eye protection, and use some kind of locking pliers to handle the hinges if they become difficult when removing from the oven, and or are jammed once the door is removed from the oven. An be just as careful putting the door back on . The hinges did fix the problem perfectly though, and shipping was not a problem .
