I have a GE oven, model JBP24G0K1WH. I bought a replacement broiler element for the old one that burned out. I bought WB44K10002 which I think I confirmed to be compatible with the oven. However, the screws to connect the wires are tiny, much smaller than the old part. What are the correct screws for this, and where can I find them? Thanks.

My wife saw sparks coming from broil element in oven. Looks easy enough to replace, but before doing that, can only a bad element cause sparks? Or could there be another issue that I need to look at?
For model number RB753BC1CT
Hi Andrew, thank you for the question. First, you may need to check all the wiring and connections to make sure they are properly in place. If that is not causing the issue, then you may need to replace the broil element, part number FIX249236, as it is most likely faulty. We hope this helps!

Install top and bottom elements with mounting bracket & screws for the broil element the same for baking element plug in the electric connection replace the cover panels on back of the appliance with screws then plug in the appliance then give it a test run and completion oven works perfectly now I have a happy wife
Turned off power at circuit box. Removed oven door and oven racks. Used nut driver to remove old element noting placement of wires. Connecting new element proved a bit challenging as wires had disappeared into the internals of the oven. Received text from a friend who happens to be a physchiatrist asking what I was doing. Told her I was about to stick my head in the oven and went back to attempt to retrieve the wires. Interrupted by EMS knocking on the door. Explained confusion. Returned to repair. Bumped head on top of oven relieving small cut. Eventually attached wires and connected element. Works fine.
took screws out of bracket, removed old unit, installed new unit and put screws back in unit. took old bowls out and cleaned around where they were and put new bowls in their place, looks like a new range now
