This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This bake or broil spark igniter, also known as a spark electrode, is used in ranges and wall ovens. This electrode is used to help ignite the brake or broil element inside your appliance. This electrode uses electrical current to create that spark that ignites the gas. If you notice your electrode is glowing but no spark is occurring that is an indication your electrode is weak and needs to be replaced. To successfully replace this part you will require a screwdriver. Before you begin repairs shut off the gas and unplug your appliance.
