What is the regular mixing attachment made out of? Plastic, metal, is it painted and how long does the paint last? Is there also a dough hook? Are they dishwasher safe?

Hello Diane, thank you for the questions. The Metal Flat Beater is painted with a food grade White Powered Coating made for Mixer beaters. The white coated beaters are dishwasher safe.
