After setting time & closing door, oven would not heat or rotate
I unplugged the oven first then removed microwave cover by removing screws, so I could get at the Primary Door Interlock Switch. I used a screw driver to push down on the front of the part so it would rotate on the pin going through it & then I lifted it off & pulled off the 2 wire connectors with a pliers. Things went pretty smooth, but I busted up the old switch pulling it out. The oven works fine now.
Shake the door up and down to make the microwe oven worked
Remove the 2 screw holding back the cover above the door, remove the cover and the small cover behind it and above the control. Remove the screw holding back the control box. Slide it upward by 1/4" and till it out. Pull it out and hang it aside with a wire. It still remained connected. The switches to be replaced are on the left and can be removed by hand.Removing the wire from the switch is a little tricky since there is a little emboss holding it back.I bought only 1 switch thinking I will get 2 because of the 2 in front of its name! That why I used the ohmmeter to find the bad one.
Microwave would not heat without holding door up slightly although timer was working.
Disconnect power cord. Remove 2 screws from top of upper vent cover above the door. Remove 1 screw from plastic retainer grill and 1 screw from top of control panel. Slide control panel up and out of the way. Remove old switch (mine was the upper one, this model has 3 switches, but only 2 are affected by the door hooks.) by gently prying up on the retaining hook then pulling directly toward you. Disconnect the offset double female terminals. Installation is reverse of removal. Be careful with the small retaining hook as the switch is located at an odd angle and has a small locking post at the upper right hole of the switch itself as the hook could be snapped off by applying to much force. A #2 phillips head and a small flat head (slightly smaller than a #1) is all the tools you'll need to do the repair.
Timer Worked But The Turn Table Wouldn't Work Or Heat Up.
Trouble shoot electrical system and found primary door interlock switch was faulty. Ordered new switch, which came in two days and installed it with in 15 min.
I would recommend buying a new door switch and the board latch, because installation is easy, removing the three door switches without breaking it is another story.
