The button-switch attaches to the housing-switch. This is available as an individual replacement part. This part is an OEM from Toro for use in lawn mowers. A screwdriver might be needed during the installation process. It is made out of plastic and will require replacing if it breaks.

I lost my electric start button that goes into the starter switch for Toro 21356. How can I replace it?
