This is an authentic Hunter replacement part. This is a cool mist wick that is commonly used in humidifiers. It soaks up cold water that is than evaporated by a fan that is mounted next to the wick. This is how the humidifier creates the moisture that fills the air. If they wick is not properly maintained the air will not be clean or fresh, if the wick is not cleaned or frequently dried out it may begin to form mold. Therefore, it is important to regularly check the wick, and replace it as needed. This wick features antimicrobial protection, it works to limit he bacteria, mold, and mildew that might typically grow in that environment, this helps increase performance and limits odors.
