Product Description
This door gasket helps keep your freezer cold by sealing the edge of the door. If your freezer isn’t staying cold or the seal looks worn, replacing it can help. It’s easy to install and fits around the door to keep cold air in. Just note—clamps aren’t included, so you’ll need to order those separately if needed.

The refrigerator door was not holding closed.
First, take the new gasket and lay it outside in the sun to make it more pliable. Unplug the fridge. Get all the stuff out of the fridge door. Take the hinge cap off of the top left of the appliance. No tools necessary, it just clicks on and off. Use a nut driver to remove the 2 nuts. Keep those safe. Balance the door so it stays on the

lower hinge while you remove the metal plate (should be about the same size/shape as the hinge cover). Carefully remove the door and set on an open space (I used a cleared-off kitchen island), the inside part upward. Use a pair of cutting pliers to make one complete cut in the old gasket, so you can grab onto one end and then pull the old gasket out, going around the door. This is a good time to clean up some nasty gunk buildup. Take a putty knife and, only inserting up to 3/4 inch of the blade, push under the main frame all the way around to push back any internal insulation that may have been pulled out when the old gasket was removed. Next, take a screwdriver (I used a magnetic phillips) to loosen all of the screws holding the main frame down. To keep better track of the screws, don't remove them. Just unscrew enough for there to be a lot of wiggle room. Grab the gasket from outside. It should now be softer. Get the gasket lip under one corner. Then do the opposite corner, then the two other corners, and then the rest of the sides. Now, hold the lip as close under the frame as possible as you screw the screws back in. If there's a tight spot and it is hard to get the lip in, pry the space open with the putty knife. Balance the door back on the bottom hinge as you get the top hinge section in place. Place the plate, drive the nuts, and put the cover back on. Plug the fridge in again, and you should get an excellent seal.
