To ensure your engine is protected, it is vital that the air filter is inspected regularly and replaced according to the manufacturer recommendations. This filter helps to prevent dirt and dust from making its way into the carburetor and damaging the engine. If the engine is not functioning as it should, this should be one of the first parts you check. To inspect the filter, you will need to remove the air cleaner cover, and lift the filter out of place to remove.
