This is a genuine OEM replacement part that has been sourced directly from Powermate. This spring is part of the regulator assembly; it sits below the regulator knob. The regulator in your air compressor controls the flow of compressed air out of the tank, this can be adjusted to suit the tools you are using. The spring is made of metal, and it is sold individually. Before replacing part on you air compressor make sure you drain the air out of the tank, and disconnect the power source.
