Product Description

This dishwasher door gasket is attached to the bottom of the door, creating a strong seal between the tub and the outer edge of the door. This seal is prone to wear and tear due to its constant exposure to water, detergent, and food particles. If the gasket appears cracked, broken, or you notice a leak coming from the door, it will need to be replaced immediately. This gasket measures approximately 23 inches long. For this simple repair, no tools are necessary. Open the dishwasher door and remove the bottom rack. The gasket is located right along the bottom of the door, molded inside the channel. It is held in place in the groove across the bottom. Remove the old gasket by pulling it out with your hands. Take your new silicone gasket and line it up so the notch fits into the groove and slide it in place until it is secure. Reinstall the lower dishrack. We recommend leaving the door closed for a few hours to ensure the gasket is sealed tightly.

Hello Maureen, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Channel that the gasket slides into and check to make sure it is not warped and able to hold the gasket in place. We hope this helps!

leak from door
I ordered the top 3 parts in terms of probability of solving the problem (water inlet valve, tub gasket, and bottom door gasket). I installed all 3 and it did not solve the door leak. Then I realized that the bottom door gasket had come out (in other words, I had not installed it properly). I reinstalled the bottom door gasket (a criti cal point is that it has to be *pressed in* firmly -- there should be some resistance), and it worked. Note that the bottom door gasket is a hybrid between a true seal and a splash guard. The notch in the middle is designed to drain water from the door back into the tub. Because of that notch opening, there is sputtering and splashing at various points of the wash cycle. This appears to be by design, and those splashes result in water being absorbed by the insulating foam. Thank you to the previous submission/posting authors, as this is what clued me in.

Water leaking out door of dishwasher.
Opened plastic package with scissors. Opened door of dish washer. At bottom of door pulled gripped old gasket seal with plyers and pulled it out of slot. Pushed new gasket in place...too long. Marked extra length with sharpy black pen and removed gasket. Cut gasket with scissors and pushed it into slot. Fit perfect. Note slot us under lip of door, a little tricky to find in order to install. Works great, no more leak.Make sure you use a screw driver on the door screws to make sure they are all tight. Too seal them use Blue Lock tight sealer.

Leaking out the front door
The old gasket was easy to pull out. I didn't get the new one in straight the first time and closing the door was difficult. The new gasket popped out and I got it lined up better and pushed it back in. Tested the seal by running the rinse cycle and no leaking!

My dishwasher wa leaking from the bottom.
I watched the video that you provided and I proceeded to follow the directions and install the gasket. Very easy once my husband stopped interfering. However , the bad news was that the leak was not fixed. There is a much bigger leak that seems to spray water from somewhere on the bottom, towards the center/rear of the machine. I can't get a handle on the exact part without pulling the entire machine out, which is complicated because of the manner in which it was installed. So, if I decide to take it on, I will most definitely be calling upon your fantastic customer service. Thank you. Sincerely, Noreen
