The cooling fan for the ice maker died. I found the part I need to order. Where can I get installation instructions?
For model number fpbs2777rf0
Hi David,
Thank you for your question. Before beginning this repair, please unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet. Then open the freezer drawer and remove the lower bin. To remove the bin, lift-up on the back, so that the tabs come out. Once the bin is angled up, pull it backwards and then lift it out. Then remove the screws securing the rails. With the screws removed, you can remove the door. To remove the door, you will need to lift-up, so the front 2 tabs come off the bracket. In the back there is a hook bracket on each side that you will have to pull it off and pull it up on an angle to remove the door. Once the door has been removed, place it on a padded surface, so it does not get scratched or damaged. Once the door has been removed, push the rails in, so they are out of the way. Then remove the upper rack. Pull it out and release the locking tabs on each side. Then lift-up on the rack, so that it is on an angle and pull it out. Then push the rails for the upper rack back in. Unthread the screws securing the both the upper and lower rails and remove them. Also remove the connecting rod from the lower rails. Once the rails have been removed, you will need to remove the back panel. Before removing the back panel, you will need to open the access panel. You will need to use a putty knife to release the locking tabs securing the access panel. With the tabs released, pull the access panel off. With the access panel removed, there is a locking tab, just inside at the top. Reach inside and release the tab. Once you have completed this, this will allow you to pull the back panel out. Once it is out, carefully set it down on the freezer floor. Then release the locking tabs securing the wiring harness and remove the panel from the freezer. Unthread the screws securing the old cooling fan from the back panel and set it aside. Before installing the new cooling fan, route the cooling fan wiring harness through the retaining clip found on the fan. Then install the new cooling fan by securing it with the screws and follow the steps in reverse to reinstall the other parts. We hope this helps! If you have any questions, please let us know.
