Product Description

This black rubber gasket is a genuine OEM replacement part for your dishwasher door. The gasket helps to provide a tight seal between the door and the tub, preventing water from leaking while the appliance is in use. Over time gaskets can become stretched out or brittle, and it should be replaced before a major leak happens. This kit also comes with a new latch strike plate for the door latch, which provides tension to ensure a tight seal.

Leaking from bottom of door - actually a substantial flow
For model number DU930PWSQ0
Fix.com logo
Hello Greg, Thank you for the question. We suggest waiting for the full cycle to complete and open the door. Check to see if the water is above the Element. If the water is above the element it is over filling and it will cause a leak. Make sure the Float is moving freely and the Float switch is tab can be activated once the float rises. We hope this helps!

Dishwasher was not cleaning well
It was news to me but a dishwasher needs to be cleaned periodically at least once per year. I watched a You tube video to get the basiscs for this dishwasher. The first step is to remove the upper racks. the two plastic end clips on the sling rails must be removed. 2. Remove the lower rack. 3. The third step is the water spinner. T his is done by holding the retaining nut with a pair of pliers and rotating the water spinner counterclockwise 4. Remove the water distribution system that conveys water to the upper rack by twisting it approx. 30 degrees clcckwise and lifting the bottom hub over the spinner assemby hub. This system is connected to the back and top of the dishwasher with retaing spring clips . 5 Next, remove the filter in the bottom of the dishwasher by using t20 star bit to remove 4 screws. 6. Use a smaller T bit to rove two scews holdin a flat retaining plate and the cover for the chopper assembly. 7. Remove chopper assem. housing by rpivoting housing up to the right . A screwdriver is needed. Clean all parts including dissassembly of the filter, the upper water distribution system etc. If you clean well and put it all back together, your dishwasher will clean again.

Small leak from dishwasher door - gasket falling apart near hinges
Removed old gasket. Checked for any dirt in the gasket slot. Folded gasket in half to find middle. Started at top and worked gasket into slot evenly from top to bottom with fingers. I then found that the door would not close completely and pop open. I carefully pushed the gasket further into the slot with a popsicle stick. The door would still pop open. I trimmed about 3/4" from each end of the gasket near each hinge and got the door to stay closed. It has worked well ever since. No leaks. I did not replace the latch. The existing metal latch was fine.

Door Leak
Easy install without the need for hand tools. You simply (1) remove the old gasket by pulling it off from the door frame, noting how it fit. (2) Clean the groove of any buildup of soap residue before installing the new gasket. (3) with your fingers, firmly press the gasket into the groove -- starting at the bottom and work your way around the door's perimeter. (4) Test for leaks

Dishwasher leaked from bottom left of door
Two things were wrong. one, there was a screw loose, and two, the gasket had a worn hole in it. The original gasket pulls off easily and the new one was installed in less than two minutes. The strike is metal so did not have to install the new one. There is a proper way to install the gasket based upon it's design so look at that carefu lly before installation.

Dishwasher was leaking while in use
I removed the old gasket by pulling it out. I then cleaned off all the surfaces surrounding the area and made sure the groove was free of debris. I gently inserted the new gasket making sure I had it facing in towards the washing area and started both ends first, then worked my way to the top. Then once I saw it was in place and covering all the area I pressed firmly to secure it in the groove. I then ran a test on the unit to insure no leaking. My strike plate was metal and I did not replace it.
