30 year old dryer, Noisy idler pulley
Simply remove the back plate, release the tension spring, lift off the idler assembly and reverse the procedure to complete repair.

Drum would only turn with light load. (1 pair of Levi's)
Removed dryer from wall, unplug power, remove access plate at rear with 1/4" nut driver, remove spring and idler pulley assy. Install new idler pulley assy. with spring, plug in dryer and check for proper operation. Intall rear plate push dryer back in place. Walla, only 90 sec. The belt was ordered for future issues, just in case.

Idler pulley was making a squeal noise
Removed power cord shut of gas and removed flex gas line from dryer. Moved dryer off wall ,opened cover on lower left back side of dryer. Removed belt and idler pulley. Installed new pulley and reinstalled the drive belt. Put gas line back on turned on gas and put dryer back into position. Powered up dryer all working fine.
