Original Fan motor had bearing problem, with high pitched squeals and occasionally stopped
The fan kit part # 482469 is an exact replacement for the fan motor used on Whirlpool 19.2 side by side refrigerator-freezer model #EED192EK. Step1: remove all shelves from freezer section; Step 2: remove all sheet metal screws from aluminum cover which is over the evaporator unit; Step 3: confirm fan rotation direction by removing powe r - then leave disconnected; Step 4: remove wire nuts from fan motor electrical wiring; Step 5: remove metal screws holding fan motor bracket to evaporator unit & remove fan assembly; Step 6: remove original fan motor from mounting bracket and replace with new fan motor - reusing existing rubber shock mounts; Step 7: put new fan blade on new fan motor and remount onto evaporator unit; Step 8: install new motor wiring as indicated in directions and use existing wire nuts to tie into existing refrigerator wiring - to duplicate original wire connections; Step 9: Check that new fan has same rotation as old fan by momentarily putting plug into 120 V receptacle; Step 10: re-assemble aluminum cover and put shelves back into freezer; Step 11: You're Done! - put power back on the refrig-freezer.

Noisy fan that kept getting louder and door wouldn;t stay open!
Emptied the freezer and fridge, took the insides apart and spent more time cleaning them then it takes for me to clean my truck. The parts replacement was easy and fast. Every thing fit just like it was supposed to. The shipping was fast and now I am once again a happy camper which is just what I am getting ready to do, TRAVEL! Now th at I don't have to worry about the freezer burning the house down. My Wife can once again sleep with both eyes closed. Hard to find a repair person for a fridge that old. Easier to sell me a new one BUT, It took them 4 1/2 hrs to get this one in the house. (Kinda big) I appreciated the fast delivery as well as the videos and such on your site. Fridge now looks new again because I tore it all apart. I do it to the stove when I clean IT. Your EXPERT SERVICE tends to make a person feel as though it is personal as well as important to you just as it was to me. Thanks again and had I not rattled on about it, my comment would have been a lot shorter. Easy task I might add.. JR

Evaporator Fan squealing
Kenmore 18 cu ft fridge, 30 yrs old replaced a squealing fan, bearings gone. Its's a no brainer, take it out, install the replacement like the original. New fan runs at a lower speed, still keeps the interior temp around 40 deg. Which is good for me.
