This is a genuine OEM replacement part from LG. This is a heating element that is commonly used in air conditioners that have a heating function as well. This part of your air conditioner is what heats air when you have the unit in heating mode. If the unit still functions in cooling mode, and if the coils and filter are clean you might need to replace your heating element.
