Major banging and shaking on spin cycles.
Replaced the shock absorbers and the springs. In our washer there are two of each and you can get to them from either the front or the back. We used the front, it seemed easier. A couple of things that were different for our washer - the tub is quite large so it can be quite hard to reach the top end of the shock especially on the ri ght side (as you face the washer). We had to disconnect the drain hose to get to it. (It's not hard to do, just an extra step. You unscrew the little gasket and pull the hose off. Have some towels ready to mop up any residual water that is in the hose) Also, we used an extension rod when tapping the pins in to put the shocks back in, because there was not enough room to tap them in with a hammer. My husband noticed that on the shocks that we received their is a little collar on the liner of the hole in the shock where the plastic pin goes. So you want to make sure that when you set the shock in place the side with the collar is lined up so that the liner cannot slip out of place. Replacing the springs takes about 5 minutes once you take off the little covers over top of them. Make sure you notice which way the springs go because one end is larger than the other. It really takes two people, one person to hold the tub to take tension off the spring and another to attach and line up the spring. We used a screwdriver to hold the spring to avoid pinching our fingers.
