description of installing was shot on info
first of all there were four screws to take out not just 2 then since there was 1 wire more on old that had to be completely remove & disregarded that wasn't in replacement info an the fact that picture digram was upside down made connecting coded wires complicated because old burner was faceing up once you take wires off old one & ellin ate extra wire and not all wires were colored same had to try 4-time in changing wire slots that 4-time had to shut off breakers to electric an hope that the next time the wire config would be wright, if the had put all info about taking it apart & tuned diagram write side up there would not have been any problem changing ,should have had more instruction

Haliant heating element was burned out
Turn off the power/unplug cord. Remove the two hex screws holding the cooktop to the oven/frame (you have to open the oven door to access them). Lift/tilt the cooktop up from the front and prop up with a piece of wood or something (I used a 2' ceiling fan downrod). Check the terminals on all elements with a voltmeter to ensure the power i s removed. You could unplug the entire cooktop (via the rear plugs and a ground wire that needs to be removed) and remove it at this point, or replace the element in the propped up position. Put a sheet or towel over the open spaces of the oven below--this will catch dropped parts. Remove the wires from their terminals on the burnt-out element. Draw or snap a picture if you need to, so that the wires are connected correctly to the new element. Remove the screws to the clips holding the element in place. Remove the element. Attach the wires to the new element per your drawing/picture. Secure the element using the clips and screws you removed earlier. Lower the cooktop. Turn on the power and test the new element. When operation is verified, secure the cooktop using the two hex screws you removed earlier.
