Red Indicator Light

The design of this JennAir was such that about 18 screws had to be removed to get the top plate off to access the switches. After getting the old switches out I noticed they had more terminals than the new ones so it required using some terminal multipliers to accommodate all the wiring needed. Cause: burned plug contact. Remove both modules and screws retaining the trim ring on cooktop. Remove screws holding pan under affected module and ceramic holder from that pan. Read more ire unit with small screw driver and push out through the ceramic block from the back. Polish affected contact spade on module. Reassemble in opposite order after cleaning stiff up.

The light was incased in red vinyl with a stiff partition in the center to separate the two wires. Simply connect the two wires to the female ends and we have a working light!
