I replaced the ice maker but the arm that senses the ice level is in the up position should it come down automatically or is there something i need to do to it
For model number FPBC2277RFK

Hi Steven, thank you for contacting us. We have researched and found that when the arm sticks in the up position and does not come down, it means the gears in the head of the ice maker jammed mid cycle. As you have already replaced the ice maker, we would suggest heating up the arm and pulling it down in case ice is just jamming it. We hope this solves your problem!

I replaced the ice maker and it still isn't making ice
For model number FPBC2277RFK

Hello Steven, thank you for your inquiry. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the water filter for any clogging. If the filter is fine, then the issue is most probably with the water inlet valve, part number FIX7321353. It supplies water to the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!

Our icemaker turned off, and we cannot get it to turn back on. The water comes out fine. And when we do push the ice despencer, it turns, but there’s no ice in it because it isn’t turned on to make any ice. We pushed in the turn on and off button and it will not work, still says off. we took out the ice, stray, etc. looking for a reset button, could not find anything. don’t know if the icemaker is shot even though the water works fine. We tried unplugging the refrigerator to see if it would reset that way, but it did not. The little yellow button above the on off icemakers button which is still on off and we cannot get it to change.

Ice maker tray cracks and leaks water into holding bucket
This is the second tray I put in within three years. The quality sucks but it is easy to replace tray assembly. Remove approximately 4-5 screws and disconnect the electrical connections in two places within the holding box.Look for the snap on connections. The tray assembly pulls out towards the front of the unit. The ice tray can not be purchased by itself, you must purchase the motor assembly with it. Before you start make sure you turn off the refrigerator and the ice maker in the front panel.

My ice maker some how got a cracked
replaced the complete fresh food ice maker which was fairly easy and then replaced the motherboard under the fridge. Not really hard but did have to figure out how to undo the 4 connections at the motherboard. probably would have been fairly easy if my eye sight had been a little better. Just a note for anybody doing this operation. When I fired up the fridge everything worked except when I put the switch to ice or crushed ice the light would start flashing and would not despence ice. I thought something must be wrong with the auger or the user board. However after about 30 hours they both started working. I'm guessing the fresh food ice maker had to completely fill with ice so the sensor would let it work. anyway about $300.00 later we are back in business. Also you cannot see the screw without a mirror that holds the icemaker in place. To save you guy's the trouble I had it's a 5/16 hex head.
