Product Description

This is a factory-certified oven sensor kit with two harness adapters. Its purpose is to sense the temperature inside the oven. Replacing this part can fix an oven that is not reaching the proper temperature (too hot or not hot enough), not heating evenly, or an oven that will not start. To access this part, you will need access to the back of the range. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the access panel. Once the access panel is removed, you will notice a hole on the right side of the oven where the temperature sensor comes out of the oven. You will need to unplug the wire harness, and then open the oven door, locate it in the upper left corner, and remove the screws holding the temperature sensor in place. Pull the sensor out of the back of the oven, and replace it with your new part.

Not sure which part to replace. When I turn on the Bake, the oven doesn't get hot enough and the fan runs all the time. When I turn on Convection Bake it seems to heat up and bake. I tried turning breaker off and back on but didn't help. Which part should I replace?

Hello Mo, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Sensor first. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If the Sensor is good, you may have a faulty Electronic Clock Control Board that controls the oven functions. We hope this helps!

Replace the Oven Temperature Sensor
Located inside, Top Left of Oven. It facilitated the contortions of getting to it by removing the oven door 1st. Only 2 screws and the hinge plates (1 each side). Made access much easier. Otherwise just as found on your website, 2 screws and very simple to do. It also worked/fixed the oven as the troubleshooting information suggested .

Oven would not start but oven light was as well as the clock
To remove and replace the sensor, I had to remove the back panel of the range and use a pair of forceps to feed the plug through the hole so I could disconnect the old sensor and connect the new sensor. The connecting plug of the original part would not go through the small rectangular hole in the range. If you are going to do this your self, find a pair of forceps or possibly needle nose pliers with teeth. It is not a terribly difficult repair but I sure am glad I had the forceps and my wife to assist me.

F1 error code would appear within minutes of starting oven. Oven would stop heating
Very simple. Remove the covering from the back of the range. Take out two screws holding the oven sensor inside of the oven. Remove the old sensor, put in the new and re-install the screws. The new part did not fix the problem but, it was a simple, cheap first attempt.

The oven was always humming and when I turn on the oven it gives me F#
I told my son, "when the parts come, you will know what parts to replace". And he did. He opened the oven, removed that long sensor part and replaced it with the new one. The humming stopped immediately and I baked in the oven as soon as he pushed back the range in its place.
