Product Description

This genuine OEM part is an agitator coupling kit for your washing machine. Also known as an agitator drive belt, this part is used to connect the transmission drive shaft to the base of the agitator. Over time, the teeth on the coupler will wear out and the part will need to be replaced. Signs that you will need to replace this part include your washing machine making a noisy grinding sound, the washer will not agitate or spin, and it excessively shakes or moves while running. This kit includes a coupler, gasket, and bolt. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your washer before beginning this repair.

Washer would spin, but not agitage
Replaced agitator coupling. First removed large white agitator assembly. It all came out in one piece. There is no bolt on the top that holds assembly onto shaft (as in most other washers). I pulled it out with my hands although it took significant force. The only hard part was removing the old agitator coupling. this was the hardest part . I ended up breaking it into pieces to remove it. Then cleaned the shaft very well and installed the new Agitator Coupling. Replaced the Agitator assembly. Coupling kit fixed the problem.

Agitator stopped working
Remove agitator by pulling upwards allowing it to seperate from the coupling. Once agitator was removed the coupling was exposed. There is a 11mm bolt on the top of the coupling. Remove the bolt then remove the coupling by lifting it straight up. When the old coupling is removed, clean the spline with a wire brush removing debris and calc ium build up. Once spline is clean, slide on new coupling and secure with new coupling bolt. Once new coupling is installed and secure, reconnect the agitator by sliding it over the coupling and pushing down.

Washer leaking and noisy
Follow the videos. They explain how to do this repair extremely well. Don't forget that the nut that holds the basket is a left-hand thread. I used a pipe wrench and a hammer to break it loose. I used a screwdriver to stab the old seal and pry it out without damaging the tub. It came out pretty easily. I used hand soap to lubricate the new seal and fit it in after cleaning out the tub's seal seat. It's a relatively easy job and now it doesn't leak and the noise is greatly reduced. I also lubricated the bearings with Lithium grease but that required taking the entire machine apart which is also explained in another video......

Washer was not agitating
Popped off the main agitator cone with my hands (didn't need a tool or rope, but I did scrape an arm by doing so). Used a wrench to loosen, then remove the bolt to the agitator coupler. Removed the coupler, replaced it with the new coupler. Resintalled the agitator cone. Could not have been simpler.

Auger not actuating and a new machine
Removed the actuator from the the drum and replaced the agitator coupling and retaining bolt and re-installed the agitator. The repair was quick and simple. The problems was the main user of the machine had already planned on and picked out a new machine with all the bells and whistles. Did not see that problem coming. I figure the best f ix for that is to just run and look out for flying debris. Repair cost < $20. and a week down time (Standard Ground Shipping).
