I'm trying to find a replacement blade for my B&D mulcher, model #MM575. B&D part number is 243550-00. It is discontinued so I'm looking for an off brand blade. The center hole diameter is 7/8.

Does this blade need to be sharpened before use?

Hello Jennifer, thank you for contacting us. The new blade from the factory is already sharpened; you do not need to sharpen the blade. When its cutting edge gets dull or gives ragged (uneven) cuts, then you will need to sharpen it. We hope this helps.
