The heater element continues to cycle on/off when the door is open. If the dryer timer knob is not in the “OFF” position the heater element cycles regardless of whether the dryer is running or not. The only way to stop it from cycling is to turn the knob to “OFF”. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hello Bob, thank you for contacting us. The most probable cause of the issue is a faulty timer, part number FIX11740662. It controls the electrical components and the duration of the dryer cycles and it is supposed to turn off the heater at the completion of the cycle. We would also recommend checking the door switch, part number FIX1964648. It should prevent the dryer from operating when the door is open. You can test these parts with a multimeter. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
