Very Easy

Started leaking under the door. The rubber door gasket appeared to be breaking down, very soft.
I soaked the new door gasket in warm soapy water while I removed the old gasket. This is the rubber seal inside the washer that closes off the sides and top of the door. Gently pulling on the old gasket removed it, then the new one slide right into place. Took about 5 minutes or less.

screw heads holding the seal are inside the door
in order to get to the heads of the six very, very small small torx head screws the inside of the door (stainless) had to be removed. You will need to remove about a dozen screws that hold the inside of the door from the door front. This does not completely separate the door front but does allow limited access to the screw heads. Ha ve your wife hold the door front away from the inside door panel (Stainless) while you remove the screws, replace the seal, and reinstall the screws. There is not enough room for a screw driver so you will need to use a 1/4 inch socket set with the appropriate size torx bit. Best to have a set of torx bits because you will need a larger torx bit for the screws that hold the door together. It is also difficult to get the two halves of the door back together. The screw holes don't seem to align with each other but keep after it and be careful not to break it further. Note: If the two halves of the door could be separated and removed the job would have been much easier but with the wiring and other items that keep the door halves together I felt it would be safer to not remove anything else. You may want to try that. I felt it safer to remove as little as possible.

Difficulty Level:
A Bit Difficult
Total Repair Time:
1- 2 hours

Nutdriver, Screw drivers
The plastic seal on the inside bottom of the door cracked
The seal is attached to the door at the inside bottom with 5 - 3/16 hex screws. To get to them to have to remove the front panel. It is held on with 10 - T15 Torx screws. After removing the front panel, I secured the top control panel to the inside half of the door with scotch tape. This is also helpful because it holds the control pane l in place while reassembling the door. With the panel off, there is a white plastic support piece down at the bottom. Remove the 2 screws holing it in place with a 1/4" nut driver. Push up on this plastic piece to reveal each screw. You will have about a 3/8" gap to remove the 5 - 3/16" screws. Be sure to use a magnetic nut driver so that the screws don't get lost. Open the door to remove the old seal. Fortunately, seal snaps into place on the bottom of the door. I used packing tape to hold the seal in place and give me some resistance to put the 3/16 screws back in. Reassemble the door and you are done. It took me about 1.5 hours to complete the job.
