Product Description

This is a refrigerator or freezer lower door closing cam. This part includes the door cam only, but you will need a new mounting screw to complete this repair, and it is sold separately. Door cams are mounted around the door pivot point and are designed to help close the refrigerator doors and keep them securely aligned in the correct position. For this repair you will need a 5/6 nut driver, a 5/16 socket, and a ratchet. We suggest lubricating the cam during installation to help it move smoothly.

This is a side by side and the Door was not easy to close. It did not line up with the freezer door.
Removed the top hinge and lifted the door off the bottom hinge. Used the socket wrench to remove screw and replaced both cams. Placed the door back and it closes perfectly now. It took longer to take the food out of the door and clean.

Refridgerator door making noise when opened.
I removed three screws from the top hinge of the door. Lifted the door up to free it from the male pin that forms part of the bottom hinge. Used a closed end wrench to remove the screw that secures the cam. Replaced cam securing it with the screw. Lifted the door back onto the pin forming the bottom hinge to secure the door. Replaced and tightened the three screws to secure the top hinge. It took about as long to do the repair as it did to write this review.
