Refrigerator Compressor Start Relay

According to everything I read, if the compressor wouldn't start then it's either a bad compressor ($365 for new compressor + $400 labor + $79 trip charge for technician to fix it) or it was a bad capacitor and/or start-dev (relay +overload circuit). (If this didn't work, I would be going to buy a new refrigerator. I will say that this repair tactic wouldn't have been very doable if we didn't have a extra fridge in the garage so that could wait for the parts to be delivered. The repair was successful and it took about 15 minutes to complete the repair. Steps: 1) Pulled the fridge away from the wall and unplugged it. 2) Used my nut driver to remove the access panel at the bottom rear of the fridge. 3) The 'start-dev is pushed onto 3 pins on the side of the compressor. The capacitor is pushed onto 2 pins on the outside of the start-dev. Both can be removed together from the side of the compressor.4) Once removed, then disconnect the electrical 'molex' connector from the start-dev. Lift the tab on the side, and wiggle it off. 5) reverse these instruction to install the new parts. 6) After plugging in the fridge, the compressor should now come on and stay on while it cools your food down.
