Auger coupling broke. Auger wouldn't turn to dispense ice.
Had to remove auger motor (4 screws). Broken coupler had to be pried and unscrewed at same time. New coupler screwed into place easily. Ice dispenser now operates correctly.

Ice maker not dispensing ice
Removed 4 screws holding motor with 1/4 in nut driver.I had to use a hack saw to cut shaft of motor off because the coupling must have stripped the threads and could not unthread. Fairly easy.. And then I just had to mount new motor, thread on coupling and tighten with a few taps, reattach wires..Easy replacement. Works great

The Ice Dispenser Coupling threads were stripped & ice wouldn't dispense thru door.
This was very easy! The removal of the motor module was just 4 small hex nuts. The electrical harness was a 10 second removal, no clipping of wires for sure, just a small screwdriver needed to move the plastic "lock nub" for lack of better term & the harness pulled right off. The threads were stripped on the old part so a simple 5 minu te dremel tool ground away the edge of the old piece to cut in half. Then 5 seconds to thread on the new. (left handed threads)

Ice would not despense or crush The motor coupling spun on the shaft
Removed motor mount 4 bolts. removed electric plug from wall of freezer. on this model there's a tab on the bottom of the plug. used a flat head screw driver horizontally to lift tab so plug could be removed. finding the tab & figuring out how to release it was one of the two difficult parts. once out of the fridge I tried to get the old part off the shaft as per the video but I couldn't it unscrew from the shaft so I just used a hack saw to saw the wings off the old part. that was the last hard part. then I just hand tightened the new coupler onto the shaft. reattached electrical plug & motor mount with 4 screws. presto I now have ice despenced both whole or crushed!!

Coupler on ice maker shaft had stripped threads due to ice maker leaking in ice tray and freezing auger.
I had to remove ice maker motor, then cut the coupler off with my dremel tool. My local hardware store provided me with a LEFT HANDED nut to clean up the threads. Threaded serviceable coupler on with ease.
