This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This switch is used to control whether the compactor is on or off, it determines if there is power flowing through the machine or not. You may have a problem with your switch if your compactor will not stop at the end of the compacting cycle, or if your compactor will not stay long enough to go through a compacting cycle. Before attempting this repair you will need to unplug your appliance.
