Range Inner Door Glass

I followed the video instructions and they were exact and very helpful. It is really as easy as they make it out to be. Hardest part was getting the hinges to release from the frame to get the door assembly off of the range at the beginning. Takes a little lifting, wiggling, and pulling.

When I first ordered glass I noticed a link to a repair/replacement video on website. Followed link but no video was there so I reviewed how others had made the repair. Read more nd receiving glass, about three days. The video finally did show up on the website. I followed both, the suggestions others had given and the video, taking my own photos as I dissembled the door. I marked parts with magic marker (top, left side, right side etc.) where they would not be visible after re-assembly. The video was excellent and made my photos taking and parts marking not that necessary.I had no difficulty with the job. Just follow others advice and wear gloves to protect hands and keep glass free of fingerprints.

I just followed the online video, which was a great help.

I removed the door from the range. Then I removed screws around door frame took apart the door and lifted out the broken glass and replaced it with the new glass. I was afraid I would not be able to get it back together but it wasn't that difficult.

Removed the door and tried to follow the video but it did not show all of the parts after a little trial and error and help from my wife we completed the task.

The repair went well and that totally surprised me. I expected at least a two hour job but it took just over 30 minutes. It would have taken less time had I not turned the mounting latches for the glass opposite of what they should have been. It saved us a lot by not having to pay for a service call. The key is when disassembling the door, remember exactly how every part fits. And there weren't that many parts. All you need is a screwdriver. Some screws were really tight due to the age of the oven but after applying a little muscle they broke free. Once the broken glass was removed and the new piece installed I just had to fasten the mounting latches, reinstall the frame that goes around the inner glass and the middle glass and then attach the outside or front of the door. Done.

I layed it out in the order I took it apart . Also I taped the cracks in the glass which made it easier . Easy to take apart just remember the way to put back or look at the diagram . Would order and do it again .
