Door widths--and weights-- vary: order the right one for your door. Pushing the door up too far when the hinge is "cocked" will bend the cocking mechanism. Also, look at the videos on line and don't take too much of the door apart, only the first layer of metal on the inside of the door. Whirlpool factory part from Fix.com fit perfectly, as expected.
