This burner electrode, also known as a burner igniter, is a genuine OEM replacement part for your gas range. When the burner knob is depressed and turned, this part is used to create a spark that lights the gas, providing the flame for your burner. If the igniter glows but will not light, it should be replaced. The electrode measures approximately 1.5 inches in length and is located under the burner. This part has a male spade terminal, and the mounting bracket included, but if a new wire lead is required it will need to be purchased separately.
