Product Description

This heating element is a genuine OEM replacement part for your electric dryer. This element carries 5200W and 240V. A controlled electrical current passes through the coils, and the heat that is produced is then used to dry your laundry. If your dryer is running but not producing heat, there may be an issue with the element. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your dryer. You will need to pull the dryer out far enough to easily access the back panel in order to complete this repair. Please note that they part does not include the two terminals and two adapter leads, these parts must be purchased separately.

the heating element broke
My model is so old that it is not listed. I got a heater element that was similar to the old one, but one of the legs was too long. I needed to bend it and I needed to get some flat blade connectors from the hardware store ($1.50).

Dryer worked fine, just no heat.
Followed the directions provided with the order. they were very helpful until I got to the point that wanted me to "Remove screw at the top". The instructions did not indicate that, at least for my model, said screw was behind a panel and was difficult to find. Once i found it, I needed a long shaft screw driver to remove the screw. The r epair went as directed, until I needed to replace the hidden screw. The bracket needed to be aligned with the hole, and the screw installed. I was able to do this with a tool I have I call a screw holder. then it all went well. also, the heating element arrived a day early. My wife loved that part. Thanks.

Dryer blowing cold air
After watching each Youtube video on how to replace the parts, I dove in. The guy in the video makes it look very easy, and it is! My biggest issue was finding enough room in the laundry room. Once I got the back off, everything went quickly. Replaced the Thermal fuse, Thermostat and Cut off Kit, in less than 20 minutes. The heating element had one quirk, the screw holding everything together was facing the opposite direction. That ate up up a half hour of trying to get my hand in from the front. But the element slid right in place. I closed everything up and switch the dryer on. Runs Fantastic! It's a brand new machine.
