Dryer Timer

I simply unplugged the dryer, removed the back cover on the top control panel, pulled the timer's knob off and removed the 2 screws that hold it into the panel. Then, I removed the wires, one at a time from the old timer and transferred them to the new timer. I started with the green ground wire. Once it is connected to the timer, it acts ... Read more as a "third hand" to help hold the new timer while also holding onto the old one. Just don't let the timers hang on the wires as you transfer them. Once the new timer was all connected, I slipped it back into the panel and put the screws back in from the front. I used a mirror and flashlight to inspect the work inside and put the other stuff back on. The unit's operation was fully restored.
