Ice Auger Motor Shaft

motor to ice maker receptacle was rounded out at the shaft and the hopper replaced ice hopper and shaft and all is well

i removed the ice container and noticed that the rod looked a bit rounded. I used a small socket and removed the screws. I laid aside the plastic pieces and pulled out the rod. I had to figure out where to find the rod on the website. It took longer to find the part than the repair itself. I receive the part I needed and had it together i ... Read more n five minutes. FYI: if you need the rod don't order the plastic sleeve that's on it. The rod comes with it already on it. I ordered it because the picture shows them separate and it don't say they come together.

Removed bracket holding shaft just below the ice carrier. Pulled out the old shaft with a pair of pliers. Inserted new shaft by hand. Replaced bracket. Job done.
