Evaporator Fan Motor - 115V 60Hz

Read more t comes out of the back wall is pulled forward out of it's normal position. Remove the four screws each corner of the back panel. Pull the panel towards you enough you can take the center cover off by undoing the six tabs, then you can raise it from the bottom so the top two tabs will simply hinge away and the piece comes out. Now you can see and unscrew the mounting hardware, also unplug the connection about five inches from the motor. Remove the ground wire from the motor mount. Now you should have the motor and mount free. Remove the screws holding the motor to the mount. The fan itself can be pulled off the old shaft and placed on the new motor shaft, it's held by some sort of spring mechanism. Don't be confused by the screw on the front, you don't use it. Now you can reverse the order and put it all back together, Make sure you mount the motor correctly in it's bracket so the ground wire can be put back on, it can be a little confusing as your looking at it kind of backwards. When you get back to mounting the center plastic cover, it needs to go on before you place the back panel in it's place, takes a little patience to get it seated properly. Remount the ice maker, the water hose needs to be in proper place. I used a a little rachet screw driver with I think it's a 1/4 inch socket for the screws, they are all the same size. Good luck, takes a little messing around to get things back in place but it's a pretty simple fix to all the noise the one I had was making.
