Does the Hi/lo/light control knob on these Mr. Heater convection heaters press on or screw on? Being cheap brittle plastic crap, mine broke apart the first time I touched it in a cold shed and I can't see how to get it off. Is there a metal replacement available without replacing the brass fitting inside?

The pet was as described, but did not include the small screw used to attach the main burner valve knob. I was expecting the knob part to include the small screw required to attach this part. The screw is not included in the “parts” list, description.
