With time, the circuit breaker can fail, causing it to prematurely trip or not reset after being tripped. To access this part, start by removing the trim piece around the switch with a screwdriver. Next, remove the switch plate that secures the switch to the planer, and then use your pliers to remove the two wires attached to the old circuit breaker. Then use a wrench to unfasten the nut that secures the circuit breaker to the housing, which will allow you to then remove the circuit breaker.
