Could you possibly provide me with the dimensions on this item I'd ordered a part that said it would work but the dimensions were slightly off from what I needed?

There is a flat piece of metal 2in about byhalf in fell in the washer, now under the plate. What should I do?

Hi Pam, thank you for getting in touch. Based on our research, you may need to remove the washplate first in order to access that part. The washplate is held in place by just a single washplate screw. Remove the cap first above the screw by pulling it out. Next, unthread the screw holding the washplate in place and then you can raise the washplate to access the metal piece and remove it. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Heavy loads caused the bolt holding down the agitator plate to come loose which stopped the plastic gear slots. The replacement part slipped on easily and has metal gear slots which should allow washing of bigger loads without fear the gear slots will slip next time.
