I just received the debris shield and it’s different than the old one and does not attach to the shaft of my weed eater. Please advise. I do appreciate how fast it was delivered but it doesn’t attach. Thanks!

Hello James, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, the debris shield compatible with your model is part number FIX10043465. It may have been updated by the manufacturer. We have found some relevant instructions for you to replace the shield. You may follow the following steps: insert the debris shield between the outer tube and the debris shield mounting plate. Fit the two shims and the bracket over the outer tube and loosely install the four socket-head cap screws. Tighten the four socket-head cap screws to secure the debris shield.
