Drive Motor

Open the top of the washer with a flat screwdriver it pries open. Removed the top two 5/16 screws from the inside of the front panel and removed the front panel, It has no screws at the bottom. Then remove four 1/2 nuts from the drum panel and remove the drum panel. Take the drum belt off of the drum and remove the drum. Remove the motor ... Read more by unplugging the one big wire plug and two single blue wires. Be sure to take note of the location that each of the blue wires came from. The blower fan on the outside end of the motor unscrews clockwise and the motor is held in place with two clips. One on each side of the motor. The two drum rollers are each held on with a bolt in the center of them. After the motor is in place the new blower fan is threaded on counter clockwise on the motor shaft. Put the blower fan cover panel back on and reassemble the dryer. make sure the drum belt is in alignment with the motor pulley Also make sure the drum felt around the drum is not folded or torn and reinstall the drum panel. Spin the drum to check for metal on metal and or drag from roller alignment. Reinstall the front panel and close the top of the dryer.
