Product Description
If your dryer is not tumbling, will not start, or is excessively noisy while operating, there may be an issue with your idler pulley. The idler pulley works by maintaining a constant tension on the drive belt, which helps to spin the drum. If you need to replace the pulley, this is a genuine OEM part that now comes with a mounting bracket.

screw on top bracket on the top front and 1 on the top back. I left the water tap and power plug attached and lifted the back panel up and slid on top of dryer. Lift up on pulley to relieve the tension from the dryer drum belt. (note how belt is on pulley) remove drum belt from motor shaft. note direction tension spring attaches to the pulley bar. remove 1 bolt from frame. replace tension spring to new idler bar and frame. insert bolt and tighten down. While holding the idler bar up attach the dryer drum belt to the motor shaft. Make sure the dryer exhaust pipe is still connected to the front dryer fan motor. Make sure the pulley idler bar in secure before closing things up in reverse order. Very easy fix. I also cleaned the dryer and the exhaust vent and replaced the dryer flex pipe.Total time 40 min including the cleaning. My unit was also stacked with two metal brackets on each side. I did not need to remove these to take off the dryer back. I also inspected the drum roller while it was open. Saved about $150 in labor, not including what I received for cleaning the laundry room ($3.78 bill and change.)
