my exhaust vent duct was totally clogged up. After I cleaned it out I still had no heat. In this situation is it more likely that my high limit thermostat is bad ? And should I also change the thermal fuse.

Hello Robert, thank you for writing. Generally if one spot was clogged the entire unit will need a good cleaning. Pull the dryer away from wall and disconnect the vent from the dryer outlet. Go outside and unscrew the cover from the vent outlet. Vacuum the lint from both ends of the vent line, using a canister vacuum cleaner. Blow lint out of the parts of the line you can't reach, using a leaf blower. Replace the heating element part FIX4205218. Good luck with this repair!
