d the timer in place. After removing them, I was able to unplug each wire and plug it into the new timer, one at a time so I would not confuse where each one needed to be. Then I noticed that the colors were marked on the timer box already. I replaced the screws and returned the back panel and front knob. I plugged the dryer back in, turned it on, and I stood there watching as the timer advanced! It was easy and saved me money on labor. Thanks!
