This thermal fuse mounts on your dryer's blower wheel housing. It will cut out once your dryer's internal temperature reaches 183 degrees Fahrenheit, and will not cut in again. Like a house fuse, you will have to replace it when it blows.

Dryer ran but did not dry clothing.
Best site I have ever used for repairs. First a list of what parts were needed was provided right from the start, no guessing. I followed all of the video's provided for installation instructions and and that was it. Very easy to make repairs and almost rebuilt my dated dryer to like new condition. Appliance was in very good physical c ondition just needed new components to bring it back. Highly recommend this site to anyone who can turn a wrench.

no heat from dryer
Removed the from panel from the dryer unit. Although we replaced the 4 items listed above, the main cause of the problem was the heating element thermal insulator. Upon removing the front panel and inspection we noticed the heating element was cracked/broken, Actually there were two of them, so we reordered another and replaced them bo th. they look like a copper screw with a collar and a ceramic head. Once these were replaced the dryer worked fine.
