Unplugged appliance, lifted dryer lid, took front off, relpaced rollers, belt, idler arm.The dryer is much quieter running.

the lint catcher was not catching all the lint?
I pulled the old filter with my left hand and installed the new lint catcher with my right hand, It fit!! no problem!.

Old lint filter had become brittle and lower corners broke off.
Although the order specified that the filter handle, which blends with the top of the dryer, was to be biscuit color, the filter arrived with a white handle. I was able to pry off the biscuit handle from the old filter and exchange it with the white handle on the new filter. I was very careful to avoid breaking the retainers on the hand le that mate with the filter portion.
