Roller Support Tri-Ring
-
Product Description
This small but mighty OEM piece is called a tri-ring and is used to support the drum roller shaft and the idler pulley shaft in your dryer. It helps to provide a tight seal between components by evenly distributing pressure. The part is triangular in shape, and less than an inch in size. Overtime it can become brittle or compressed, which can lead to a noisy tumbling cycle, or your dryer not tumbling at all. The tri-ring itself is simple to replace, simply slip off the damaged one and slip on the new. However, to access the drum roller or idler pulley, you will need to remove the front panel and drum of your dryer. This may require tools like a Phillips screwdriver, a quarter inch nut driver, putty knife, a small flat blade screwdriver, and a pair of needle nose pliers depending on your model. Ensure that the power is disconnected before beginning your repair.

After getting the dryer apart, The rollers (2) would not turn by hand. So knew then that had to be the issue. Removed them and wiped them clean and put just a small drop of oil on the roller shafts. They spun freely. Put it back together and it was quite.
I had ordered 4 Tri-Ring washers not realizing that 2 came with each roller. Returned them hassle free.
Also vacuumed it out as there was some lint.
It would an easy fix had I had two good knees. Their videos really helped me out. Glad they took the time to send them.
