Take out dryer screen, and remove 2 retaining screws. Use putty knife to push both clips on the front corners of the top of the dryer to lift top off. The front of the dryer only has 2 retaining screws around where the clips are to remove the top. Remove those screws then lift up to disengage the hooks the front is sitting on. The drum should hang freely. Remove old belt/idler pulley assembly. When the new belt and pulley assembly are installed (slide the new belt around the drum, through the pulley assembly and around the shaft to the motor), rotate the drum a couple times to make sure it is lined up correctly. Then reassemble the dryer.
I called my boyfriend
Unplugged appliance, lifted dryer lid, took front off, relpaced rollers, belt, idler arm.The dryer is much quieter running.
Unplug dryer, pry up top of dryer, take the two Phillips head screws from the lint screen and lift the top up. Remove two screws from front panel, lift up front panel and remove. Take tension off of pulley and remove belt from pulley and motor wheel. Remove idler pulley and reinstall.
Disconnected the electrical plug from the wall and disconnected the dryer vent. Removed drum from dryer. Replaced idler pulley assembly with new part. Replaced the broken belt with new one.
I replaced the drum rollers, belt and idler pulley, I had an 80-90% chance that it would fix the issue. The video on the website was spot on in every phase of the repair - just follow it as shown. By spending $45, I bet I'll get many more years out of this machine.
Just like you showed in your instructions. But I am going to put the old idler pulley back in cause the new one makes a loud whining noise. Other than that it should be fine. The service I received from you guy's was great. This was a simple repair. Thank's again Bill
Replaced idler pulley, and belt. Also changed drum rollers while had everything open. Followed online videos. Worked perfect.
My dad followed the repair instructions your company enclosed with the parts & it all worked out smoothly.
